Getting Started with Your Biomat

A clear, friendly guide to setting up your mat, learning the controller, finding comfortable warmth, and caring for it over time.

Initial Setup

Give yourself a few minutes to get familiar with the mat and controller. Keep the manual nearby for model-specific placement, cover, timer, and safety details.

1. Unpack and Take a Look

Confirm the model, controller, voltage, cover, and included documentation. The mat, cord, plug, and controller should all arrive in good condition.

2. Position the Mat

Place it flat on a clean, stable surface allowed by the manual, with enough room for the cord to rest without being pinched or pulled.

3. Add the Cotton Cover

Fit the supplied cotton cover or pad as directed. It keeps the surface comfortable and helps protect the mat during regular use.

4. Connect and Power On

With the mat off, connect the controller securely. Keep the controller dry, then power on in the order shown in the manual.

5. Start With Gentle Warmth

Learn the temperature and timer buttons before settling in. Begin at a low, comfortable setting and adjust gradually within your model's instructions.

Temperature Settings Guide

Each powered model has its own listed temperature range. Use the ranges as a comfort guide and begin at the lowest setting that feels pleasant.

Finding Your Setting: Comfort matters more than intensity. A higher number is not automatically a better session. Stay awake and responsive, and turn the mat down or off whenever the warmth feels like too much.

Warming Up the Mat

Let the mat warm gradually; timing varies with the room, surface, cover, and model. Start low, settle in, and adjust once you know how the warmth feels. There is no need to preheat to the highest setting.

Keep the mat flat and use only the cover or layers permitted by the manual. Extra insulation can change how heat collects at the surface.

Tips for a Better Routine

Make it a quiet pause: Choose a comfortable spot, lower the lights, and give yourself time to unwind without turning the session into another task.

Choose comfort over intensity: Warm and pleasant is enough. There is no need to chase the highest setting or the longest timer.

Keep the setup simple: Use the supplied cover, keep the mat flat, and check that cords and controls stay clear and dry.

Hydrate normally: Keep water nearby and drink according to your usual needs.

Build an easy ritual: A routine works best when it fits naturally into your day. Use the timer and frequency that feel comfortable and follow your model's instructions.

Care and Storage

Clean safely: Switch off and unplug the product first. Follow the care label for any removable cover and the manufacturer's instructions for the mat and controller.

Keep electrical parts dry: Do not immerse the mat or controller, use them while damp, or apply harsh cleaners.

Store as directed: Let the product cool, then roll or lay it only as the manufacturer permits. Do not sharply fold it or place heavy objects on it.

A Few Important Safeguards

When to Check First

Ask a qualified healthcare professional before using a heated product if any of these apply:

Also review the safety warnings for your exact model.

Children and Supervision

Children and anyone who cannot reliably sense or communicate excess heat need close adult supervision, if the model manual permits use.

When to Stop

Stop use and unplug the product if it heats unevenly, displays an error, smells unusual, or has a damaged cord, plug, controller, or surface. Do not attempt repairs yourself.
